Helping You
And Your Dog Thrive Together
Hi, I’m Bex! I’m a dog trainer and behaviourist in Sevenoaks, Kent. I offer monthly coaching for dogs and owners to help resolve behavioural issues such as reactivity, separation anxiety, and over-arousal. I also work on improving life skills like recall, loose lead walking, and settle work.
During our monthly coaching, we take a holistic approach to ensure your dog is feeling their best, both physically and emotionally, so that training is more effective.
ABOUT US
My Journey to Dog Training
My passion for dogs started when I rescued Milo, a big Staffy with behavioural challenges. He changed my entire life and led me to switch careers to work with dogs full-time.
I began working at a veterinary clinic, training as a hydrotherapist in 2019, where I learned about the impact of pain on behaviour. I loved creating custom training plans to help dogs recover from surgery while managing behavioural changes.

I reached out to Bex initially for help with my dogs separation anxiety, Daisy is a 6 year old Springer X and while generally great can't for the life of her be quiet when left home alone. I saw Bex offering help with separation anxiety and thought it was worth a try! Daisy not being able to be left really limited us to date nights or even just popping to the shops together, especially as we live in flats and didn't want to disturb neighbours. Bex gave great advice and actually suggested that Daisy wasn't a typical separation anxiety case, she wasn't glued to our hip and definitely didn't care if we were in another room to her, it was purely just us leaving the flat that was an issue - more fomo than anything. Bex suggested that we change daisy's food to a higher quality, which we had tried in the past but never found one that worked with her and her sensitivities - we finally found one that she loves and loves her. Also, Bex recommended that we hone in on daisy's natural instincts, Daisy would happily relax and be very chilled in the day so wasn't presenting as a dog that wasn't fulfilled but thought more fulfilment can't hurt! We worked on more opportunities to sniff on walks on longline, hand feeding her daily allowance whilst on walks to help with engagement and scent work tracking a £2 coin. We also added in settle work. All of the above has made a huge impact on Daisy, whilst they're not the issues we initially reached out for help with, the above changes completely flipped our walks with Daisy. She now walks perfectly with a loose lead, her reactivity to other dogs, bikes and runners has more or less ceased and her focus on us is much higher. She absolutely loves tracking her £2 in all sorts of places and her tail never stops wagging during it. The settle work has made a big impact with her excitement around the door being knocked too. Whilst Daisy still barks / whines when we leave she's made progress and will start and stop barking a couple of times in-between longer stints of being quiet and laying down - we still have a way to go with this. Bex was great at helping via WhatsApp when we had questions or needed help, she also frequently checked in which was great for holding us accountable to fit training in no matter how busy we were, the routine of training each day was definitely a factor in the success we saw. Even though Daisy's separation barking is still an issue, we are so glad we worked with Bex and are truly so happy with her progress in other areas. Her day to day life is more enjoyable now for both her and us thanks to Bex's recommendations and guidance. We would definitely recommend Bex to anyone who has anything they need to tackle with their dogs behaviour. We went in with one issue and instead Bex helped solve multiple others to try and solve the issue from the root.Posted on Hannah SmythTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I so enjoyed the sessions with Bex and the dogs did too. She's very easy to talk with, very encouraging and calm. We were working on reactivity and Bex was able to explain the possible reasons why and work on solutions together. Highly recommend. (It's also just really good fun ;) )Posted on Alice McEwanTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I’m alice and I have a 2 and a half year old Sprocker spaniel called Bruno. At first I wanted to give Bruno more confidence in his basic training but after working with Bex for a couple of sessions, it became apparent that Bruno was more anxious than we had realised. We started to work on his separation anxiety and giving him ways to overcome this. We have a busy house with 2 young boys and so having a ‘Velcro dog’ can be quite stressful at times! I also felt I was being unfair to Bruno as I wasn’t giving him as much attention as he would like. He became upset when we were out of the house and wanted to be with me at all times when I was home. Bex has given us exercises to do with Bruno to stimulate him mentally so that he tires and finds it easier to relax and settle, both when we are with him and when he is alone. Bruno already seems much calmer and quite often takes himself off for a snooze on the sofa while I’m playing with the children. Since working with Bex we have formed a great friendship and so our sessions are fun and full of laughter. She accommodates that I usually have a small child attached to me and helps keep things manageable as we progress with Bruno. I look forward to our sessions as much as Bruno enjoys them! I would highly recommend Bex as a dog trainer and have already shared her details with a few friends. I also suggest people contact her on local social media groups when posts come up. Bruno and I thank you Bex! XPosted on Paula DraperTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I went to Bex With my then two-year-old German Shepherd. I had lost all confidence in my ability to train him. I just couldn’t get that magic 100% recall and trust.. I had an amazing one-to-one session with Bex who gave me Some amazing tips and pointers that were very easy to do and had such a massive effect I.e Hand feeding. Since Bex has been working with my Bear, I have massively grown in confidence and he is pretty much perfect now. Bex has helped me understand Bear better which has definitely helped him, , and I feel I can completely trust him in every situation. He’s now has brilliant recall, even when he’s chasing deers/pheasant and the elusive squirrels . I couldn’t recommend Bex Highly enough as a dog trainer. She has a unique ability to be very in tuned with the dogs that she works with and I can honestly say I wouldn’t trust anyone as much as I trust Bex with my dog. And I can see the feeling is mutual, Bear gets extremely excited whenever he sees her
